In this one-hour roundtable hosted by ATP’s Technology-Based Assessment (TBA) Committee, attendees heard from industry leaders on how assessment organizations can stay relevant and innovative in a rapidly evolving landscape.
0:00 - The first segment session opened with Kara McWilliams, Chief Product Officer at NCBE and Secretary of the TBA Committee, who emphasized the importance of adopting a product mindset to meet the changing needs of examinees and score users.
30:06 - In the second segment, Joanne Rinella and Jennifer Hove from Ontario’s Education Quality and Accountability Office (EQAO) shared how their award-winning agency leveraged strategic thinking, innovation, and cross-team collaboration to deliver a professional learning program aligned with the ITC/ATP Guidelines for Technology-Based Assessment.
Moderated by Pat Ward and John Weiner, the session concluded with an engaging Q&A, offering practical insights and lessons from the field.

A-ATP 2024: Breaking Barriers and Sparking Innovation in Asia’s Testing Future
From November 17-19, 2024, the Asia division of the Association of Test Publishers (A-ATP) brought the global testing community together in Bangkok, Thailand, for an unforgettable event. With over 200 attendees from nearly 20 countries, 40 sessions, 50+ speakers, and sponsorship from 13 industry leading organizations spanning China, the USA, Japan, South Korea, India, Malaysia, and Thailand, this year’s conference buzzed with energy and ideas.
