The Association of Test Publishers is continuing to take aim at negative public perceptions of testing and assessment through a campaign that began at last year's Innovations in Testing Conference under the thematic title: "Reclaiming the Conversation," and is now being reframed for the 2017 Innovations in Testing Conference as "Leading the Conversation." [Read the full article]

The Changing Landscape of EU/US Privacy and Data Protection

Privacy and data protection was the object of significant focus at Europe-ATP's conference, held in Lisbon, this fall. Conference delegates heard from keynote speaker Dr. Hielke Hijmans, Special Advisor to the European Data Protection Supervisor who spoke on the topic of reforming the EU rules on privacy and data protection. Also at the Conference, ATP's Legislative Counsel, Alan Thiemann engaged with Dr. Hijmans in a discussion on EU/US privacy, which explored the changing landscape of privacy..[Read the full article]


ATP Public Sector SIG Holds Third Annual Meeting in Lisbon

The ATP Special Interest Group comprised of public sector employees from global governments convened in Lisbon for a two-day event that was hosted by the Portuguese office of Public Administration. The ATP Board of Directors will welcome two new, and two returning, Directors in January.  New Directors are Eric D'Astolfo, Senior Business Development Manager with Pearson VUE and Rob Pedigo, Vice President of Psychometrics for Castle Worldwide. Watkins Schoenig, of Cornerstone Strategies, LLC, Chair of the ATP Workforce Skills Credentialing Division Security and Privacy Subcommittee, in a recent letter to ATP members and others with an interest in Workforce issues.
