Network (pan) Workforce Engagement Expert to Speak at Human Resource
Industry Events in September
- Marc Drizin to Detail Abundant Opportunities Employers Have to Advance
Their Critical Knowledge of Workforce Engagement
CARMEL, Ind. (September 14, 2005) - In
response to the demand for education around workforce engagement, today
Performance Assessment Network®, Inc. ("pan™"), announced numerous dates and
locations during September where employers can learn from Marc Drizin, pan’s
director of Workforce Engagement, an authority on employee loyalty, and a
frequent speaker at international, national and regional events. Drizin is
also the creator of “Employee Hold’em™,” the lively, entertaining, and
educational card game for managers and human resource professionals, played
in a workshop setting.
pan’s 2004-2005 National Study on Workforce Engagement, released Fall 2004,
highlights the complex nature of the employee-employer relationship and
related issues important to employees of various ages, education levels,
union affiliation, regions of the country, and industry. Based a sample of
U.S. employees, pan found that less than half of today’s workforce is “fully
engaged,” while nearly one-third is “unengaged” -- meaning more than half of
today’s employees are not acting in ways that assist their organizations in
creating positive customer experiences and business success.
This finding, among others in pan’s study, has tremendous implications for
employers and underscores the importance of workforce engagement – an
ongoing process to recruit, retrain, reward, and retain productive and
effective employees by enhancing the understanding of organizational
practices and employee priorities, attitudes, behaviors, and intentions – as
a critical business function.
During each of the following educational sessions, Drizin will define
workforce engagement against the backdrop of pan’s national study, and
provide strategies that will enable attendees to find, keep, and motivate
employees who can contribute to excellent performance:
